Thank you so much for a beautiful day that you provided today. My daughters really enjoyed themselves. It was such a refreshing way for them to spend a Saturday. They came home telling me about all they did and I just wanted to say thank you!!!

About Girlz to Women

Mission Statement: To empower young women by helping them build their self-esteem, and by providing tools to assist them in their journey into womanhood.

About Claudia:
Claudia Virga was born and raised on Long Island, New York and relocated to Florida in 2005. Claudia's passion to help young women is from her own life journey, as well as stories from other women's lives.  Claudia says: "Most women today have something from their past they wish they could change.  The common denominator across the board is lack of self-confidence, self-worth and self-esteem.  If we can build positive self-esteem in our young women, then we can change our world, one girl at a time."

In the future, we hope "Girlz to Women" will be a national, non-profit organization.

The "A FUNdamental You" Conference is a product of Claudia's vision.

The Art of Life

Carly will encourage and guide the participants in creating baseball size Artist Trading Cards, which are miniature pieces of art. No prior art experience is necessary. Collage images and items will be provided to assist in the construction. Through storytelling, creativity and ritual; the girls and mentors will enlighten by the collectiveness of being female.

The whole essence of these tiny works of art is about people connecting and exchanging their works.  It's about community and camaraderie.  The theme of the cards for this mini workshop is: “The strength I feel when I am feeling strong and empowered as a girl growing into a women, including my body, mind, and spirit.”

After each person makes about 3 to 4 cards, they will be encouraged to meet and trade their cards with new friends. While trading, each girl will have a brief conversation about their card and what it means to give it away, and also for the person to express what it means for them to receive the card.
